Raffles Graduation MY TURN 21032013

This news have been a week old but, I had graduated as an Advanced Diploma Holder in Jewelry Design in Raffles KL, and I got the 'Best Student Award' and so as the 'Best Collection Award. and thankyou for those who came during the exhibition in Fahrenheit.

It feels like yesterday that I just enrolled into Raffles Jewelry Design, and now Im a fresh graduate. The 2 years have been fun and it has so much sweet memories, met so many new people from the same course and  different course. Honestly being a Jewelry Design student is awesome, because this department had been like a family to me because everyone were being so close to each other, its like when ones had problem the otherS would know bout it, people might think we are 8, but this is how our department works. So Glad

So many person i want to Thank for being able to be where I am right now, especially the 2 lecturers that taught me, Adam Whitney and Sydney Scherr. Both a great lecturer with their respective experience and design ideology. Its been fun learning under them even though there times i stuck on certain step, but everything worked out, not sure whether they will saw this but, i had alrdy thank them respectively hahahahaha. Next would be my lovable juniors and seniors, super supportive. you guys been great to me, u guys didnt really made a fuss over me, which i am very grateful of hahaha.. lastly and not least my parents that had supported me so long since i started this course, xie xie.

My collection includes 2 separate sets, which is the mens collection and womens collection. The entire collection is inspired by the Art of Nature, below is the hand fabricated necklace with choker, entirely in sterling silver and with the use of liver of sulphate.

Making this entire collection had been fun, and i were able to try many techniques on making this collection a success, but honestly, i did not felt that I myself as a designer explored enough... anyhow, done is done, but might be enlarging this collection with different techniques like enamel and piercing, (will be fun) more pictures will be posted after the collection is being photoshoot. So stay tune for it..

Thereafter the graduation, I will be entering the next stage in life after diploma which is Internship, that will be starting after today, havent able to find a company yet. anyone wants to hire me? Redang Vacation 26062012

It was absolutely time for vacation after being so hectic in the studio, hahahah I've been taken so long to get this updated, not in a mood updating recently but i finally felt the mood tonight and so im here,

We went to Redang for our vacation during the semester break, its my first time out away from KL with my friends without my family. Went there with my JD group, and it sure is fun, its been awhile since im on a beach and in return i had sunburns all over my back, one thing for sure!!!! being sexy without sunscreen is not very sexy at all hahaha, now that my sunburnt is healing and skins are peeling off,

Had lots of snorkeling while we were in Redang, its my first time doing snorkeling. Definitely my first time seeing corals, sea creatures live in the sea. It was just amazing. And i really wondered, will i able to see spongebob with his squarepants and patrik??! hahaha Well, sadly, i didnt seen any starfishes around at all, it could be my eye problem but none i saw, the most i saw are sea cucumbers that are in black they were so contrast therefore its the most visible, and im sure glad i saw baby sharks before i left Redang. I even saw squids, colored eels, clown fish (Nemo), Dory, Stingray, Sea Urchin, and also Jellyfish. I nvr thought i could encounter jellyfish without being stung at all. *happy me*  Had a photo with the jellyfish. Its just so cute looking at it swimming in a impulsive way hahaha. 

Oh yeah, we played poker cards too when we were sliding our legs around into the sand, its comfy but minutes later everyone's leg were starting to get cram. So we spent 3days 2nights by the beach, no matter what its fun, felt like we were bonding when were playing 'Hunting Werewolfs' 

Then on the 3rd day, after we got off from the ferry from Redang, we stayed at Terengganu for half a day cause we nvr been to Terengganu before, but everyone were so tired and pain with their sunburns we went to look for a budget hotel to stay in for awhile at least until our bus arrive, before that, we went for a walk to look for foods, but sadly is that, there isnt much at night nor evening actually, There are only 3 Bak Kut Teh restaurant after we asked around, and a dishonest bakery witch gave us a ride with her innova to buy some snack for our bus ride and costs us each person RM5, At first i thought Terengganu is a very peaceful place where everyone day are also kind and peaceful but after meeting that bakery witch, it disappointed me... nvr let me see u again witch!!! 

Later that, we had a small surprise birthday party for Esther by the Terengganu I-city, it was not as romantic as we planned, it was as first that we planned to had it on the Redang Beach, but due to technical problems, we are stuck to had it in Terengganu. The cakes were Egg tarts, and we had sparkling juice

And what we found were the Turtle Alley, it was made at 2011 as the appreciation and awareness of the extinction of sea turtles, it was really well made and it even has paintings and mural on the walls. I sure do hope KL has this kind of appreciation or awareness in a form of art.

So, we hope on to our bus and return to KL.

Enamel Class completes 25062012

All my assignment had done nicely, i hope, hahahahhaha

well, i sure do hope my presentations could have been better if i could have more time, its kinda hard when theres so much thing coming together, i felt like the older u are, the more things u will do and when that happens u will know that 24 hours is not always enough, anyhow, I DONE MINE without fail, and i do hope i passes with flying colours as well, had been working darn hard for my projects, assignment, reports, and my the design sketches, so as presentations.

Well, its like a blink of an eye that i had finish half of my diploma, without any failures in class, and i hope its continuing like that. My recent project was all about enameling which is on Cloisonne and Champleve, and the project that were assigned to us were to make alter ego eyewear ( i think i said it in my previous post ) which is definitely very challenging for me and my group as well, but in the end we were able to done it and everyone finished it nicely i could say...

I felt enamel is a very good material to work with, i think the very reason is because i love playing with colours as i like to see how the colours would change when different colours combined, i would even go crazy if i have various pallets of colour with me, but sadly there isnt any because Malaysia doesnt have supplier on enamel colours SUXX where we have to purchase it online from overseas, such a drag and annoying. Its been fun and stressful for this project, i actually had more then 5 time headache for the first time in just one project because it was too huge and is my very first time constructing eyewear and plus constructing my enamel design. Now i know why did Adam had us do our design into graph paper and had us complete our design first then only start making them, because it will be hard when I doesnt do that and figure that out later.

no matter what, i done it and im proud of this project where WE actually finished it HOORAYY :)

End of 4th semester and 'The Vow'

On sem break currently, so good i can rest now, and blog oftenly.. so much to blog AHAHHA

well, before that, im gonna blog about the last day of sem :DD

so we had our Final presentation day for ARCS, and also due date for research paper and drawings

hmmm.. our presentation went on well of course!!! my group, yiyi and i that were doing jewellery, accessories and fashion of geisha had did quite well i can say compare to the previous presentation we had even thought we did not fully utilize the time.. 5 extra minutes 

anyhow!! that day were great!!!! so after we finished everything and before we leave college for movie, we had a group photo :D

so yeah!! we went for movie!!! and yes, we went to watch 'The Vow' my long waited movie!! 

ahahah, once i watched the trailer and chaning's previous movie 'Dear John' 

it just made me wanna watch 'The Vow' even more...!!

the scene in the bakery is my fav!!! sweetest moment i felt!!!

the scene where Channing with his guitar in his recording studio is the saddest moment, where he actually gave up on helping Rachel getting back her memories... so sad!! 

Actually u gotta watch this movie then only you will fully understand it!!

its so good!!! that i recommend you to watch if u love to watch those lovey dovey and story about love and relationships.

Both actor really played the role greatly!!! and both were darn attractive!!!

it just made me like wanting to be in a relationship more desperate!! LaughOutLoud lorh!!

anyhow, this movie is RECOMMENDED to be watched, u doesnt need to be with yr lover to watch this!!, u can be with yr friends watching this!!! its like working hard on something and dont lose fate on each other and nvr give up on those u love/like :)

A series of 5 Structural inspired rings 24032012

hey awesome readers!!! hahahah,

deeply sorry that i wasnt able to blog cause i had been burning the midnight oil for assignments, rings, presentation, research paper and other stuffs!!! well, now is the long waited semester break!! wheeee!!!!

my 5 Structural inspired design rings

were assigned on doing 5 rings for our 3rd studio class (wood)

its made out of sterling silver and wood

im very happy that how it came out

and of course im hoping for a high grade for this class :)

and im so glad that it came out well, put lots of effort doing it, and obstacles resolved!!! whew what an assignment!!! 5 rings in a half semester!!!?? bring it on Adam!!! ahahahhaha we can do it!!

well, sem break is here!!!! couldnt wait to enjoy my 1 week holiday -.- (so little leh)

hmmm.. i will be blogging bout my half day trip soon!! and also i had watched my long waited movie, 'The Vow' after class!!! will be blogging bout it too!! its so gooooood!!!!!

Reviews of 2011 and Resolution of 2012

Well, lots of people had written their last year's review and this year's resolution.. and now its my turn, there's been to much stuff going on, assignments, classes, chores, home cleaning, shopping, this and that, which made me no time to spend on blogging, had been really sad that i wasnt able to have the energy to blog anymore unlike previous times that i can blog for the whole week :(

so my last year were GREAT, best year i ever had, which i can hardly wish for more, hahahahhaha cause

1) i passed my SPM papers, which i felt totally awesome bout it 3As to me is actually good enough, i never hope so high on my theory studies, but its great!!!

2) then later on, i entered and started my college life in Raffles and from there.. i learnt so much bout jewelry making and art histories, and furthermore, i had 2 awesome lecturers!!! Adam and Sydney.. best betul mereka dua tu!!! and next my article on my work were featured on SinChew Newspaper with my Senior, Khai Lai X)

3) Wishes came true bout getting a converse red shoe and also a camera, LX5... and is like FINALLY a CAMERA to my own... i actually won the money from the MRT Logo Competition, Consolation Prize which is RM2000, so i used the money to buy camera and its leather cover..

4) I had finally went for at least one Nuffnang Events and the most important event, the NUFFNANG BLOG AWARDS and on that night, i met one of my favourite bloggers in Malaysia, Chukei and KennySia, This were actually a dream came true for me....

5) i celebrated my birthday TWICE which both twice also is surprise, this would be my first time 2 surprise celebration on the same day.. thankyou :)

6) and last but not least, i were also able to meet so many famous, fabulous, great people of Malaysia, there's Jimmy Choo, Amber Chia, Malaysia's Astronaut, and others...

actually there are more, but this are few of the most important things that matter me very much and appreciated it very very much.. hahahah, this review turned out like a thankyou post.. omgod.. ahhahahah

alright!!!! so for this year!!!! i wanna achieve:
1) better grades
2) less foul languages from me
3) exposed to more design elements and design stuff
4) meet more people
5) being less emotional and more to mature
6) better hairstyle
7) more impressive designs
8) and also i have to work extremely hard on time management...

there is just so much i want myself to be improved on.. SO MUCH, i can hardly state it down here..
so please stay tune for more.. from now on, i will be posting more about my design stuff and also event i attend, but i will also post bout my life :)

i also hope that this year is not THE END OF THE WORLD :)

my END of Second Semester in Raffles College 14102011

its been awhile since i blogged about my college life...

well, its been hectic and slightly tiring and well of course the stress im having from parents, lecturers and DUE DATES.. but im still trying to handle the pressure.. i know that we cant blamed on pressure and stress but still we have to overcome it...

so today i had finally finished my final assignment from my second semester cause during the first few week of our the second semester the studio wasnt ready for us to use yet so now it delayed till our second week of our third semester and today were the due date for all the final project..!!! hahahhaha

it had been like a roller coaster ride from knowing nothing on how to make a jewellery piece and now we know how to make jewelleries... *thumbs up* for myself.. hahaha.. for the second semester i had made for about 3 piece of jewellery (2pendants) and (1brooch) while one wax ring and another wax set which includes a tie clip, pendant and earrings... furthermore, we were also assigned on making tableware, illuminary and making our own tools..

i can say that the second term were a very productive term... cause we had used up all our free time in the studio which includes my time having dinner with my parents and also my insufficient of SEMESTER BREAK..... but thankfully the lecturers were kept on praising us that we had done well under the circumstances bout the renovation of studio, broken tools and so on...
